MISSION

The Office of Attorney General is the chief law enforcement agency in the State of South Dakota and is tasked with monitoring the overall landscape of crime that occurs within the borders of this great State.

As Attorney General, I recognize how drugs are intertwined with some of society’s most serious crimes as well as the majority of petty crimes as a result to satisfy illegal drug addictions. Our law enforcement partners across the State are committed to combating this growing drug problem.

Our mission is to approach this growing epidemic with three equal efforts in prevention, enforcement and recovery. NO.METH.EVER. and Project Stand Up are two innovative programs that do just that. We hope that the public will embrace these efforts and assist where they can in keeping South Dakota a safe place to live.
